Kyrenia

 34 êÁàéò
Kyrenia is one of the most beautiful cities. Many tourists consider this city as the most charming and romantic on Cyprus. Walking along typically narrow streets of a Mediterranean small town, you will be accompanied by the fragrant sweet aroma of a gentle lilac and a blossoming orange tree. Kyrenia is a charming place where the mountains and the sea, the green and the heavenly blue merge together, and the soul of the city on Northern Cyprus lives in unison with the sounds of night entertainment. The bastions of the ancient fortress protect the harbour from sea winds.

Karpas

Peninsula Karpasia (Karpas)
Peninsula Karpasia (Karpas)
The long prominence of the peninsula stretches towards Syria for nearly 80 km, its width is very small, thus when driving along the peninsula, you can see both of its coasts at one and the same place. The peninsula is unique as there are unspoilt clean beaches, where sea turtles live and in the wild you can observe pretty Cyprian donkeys. It is worth mentioning that the road in this part of Northern Cyprus is quite complicated, it often goes up high in the mountains. And up there exceptional views open in front of your eyes. And in one of these places at a fairly high altitude in the mountains you can see a serious turnstile with a man sitting by it, who raises money in support of those Cyprian donkeys – just one Turkish lire per person.

Famagusta (Greek Ammohostos)
Famagusta -Famagusta is the largest seaport, located in the eastern part of the island. The most important period in the history of the city could be considered the reign of the Turks on the island. Thanks to the Turkish occupation in 1571 the island experienced the rise of the cultural and economic life. The Turks constructed traditional buildings, water channels, fountains; many Catholic churches were transformed into mosques, some of which have remained up to now.

Nicosia

Northern Nicosia (Lefkosha)
It is the capital of Northern Cyprus, a pieceful city with the most beautiful monuments of Gothic and Ottoman architecture. The city was founded around the 7th century, soon after the destruction of Constantia in the east of the island. The impressing Gothic constructions related to the period when the island was owned by French knight Guy De Luzinian (1192) have remained here.

Guzelyurt

Morfou / Gyuzelyurt

A small town to the west of Nicosia (40 km) is one of the oldest on Cyprus. Before Cyprus was divided into two parts, half of Cyprian lemons, tangerines and oranges had been grown here. With the arrival of the Turks in 1974, the fertility ceased, and three years after the sad events, instead of being a supplier of citrus fruits, the city has got the reputation as the capital of the Annual Orange Festival.
